A 69-year-old Cincinnati, Ohio, man was killed in a single-car accident Tuesday morning about five miles west of Tucumcari on Interstate 40, according to New Mexico State Police spokesperson Sgt. Damyan Brown.
John Spencer of Cincinnati was killed when the vehicle he was driving left the road and rolled over several times, Brown said.
A passenger in the vehicle, Jeffrey Goswick, 49, ot Houston, Texas, was injured in the accident, Brown said.
A state police news release said that apparently, Spencer’s car drifted off the eastbound lanes and Spencer overcorrected, causing the crash.
