Dinosaur expert to speak at historical group’s dinner

The Tucumcari Historical Research Institute is likely to get some pre-history along with history as  Axel Hungerbuehler, Ph.D., curator of the Mesalands Community College Dinosaur Museum and Paleontology chair, speaks at its annual dinner April 20.
The dinner will be held at 6 p.m. April 20 at the Tucumcari Elks Lodge No. 1172, 2118 S. Adams St., Tucumcari.
The roast beef dinner is $13 per plate, and dues are $10 per year for individuals, $20 per year for families.  Payments must be made in advance by April 17, according to the society’s flyer.
Payment may be made by mailing a check to the THRI through the Tucumcari Historical Museum, 416 S. Adams St. Tucumcari, NM 88401, or in person at the museum from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
