A Jeff Bridges movie filmed last summer in Clovis, Portales and Tucumcari still has no release date, but it does have a new title.
“Hell or High Water” is the new name for the original “Comancheria,” which began principal photography last May in eastern New Mexico.
The movie, which also includes Chris Pine (Capt. Kirk in the current “Star Trek” franchise) and Ben Foster (”Lone Survivor”), is about two brothers who plan a bank robbery to save their west Texas family farm from foreclosure; two Texas Rangers attempt to capture them.
A movie poster for “Hell or High Water” is on display during this week’s Cinemacon 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Under the title includes a tagline, “Blood always follows money.”
The poster said the film is “coming soon,” and officials with Lions Gate Entertainment confirmed Tuesday there is no release date for the movie.
