04-09-2008: Wedding, birtday and sisters are top piano players

Wedding vows exchanged
Lewis and Vivian Martinez of Tucumcari announce the marriage of their son, Lewis Jr., to Jacqueline Wong today in Long Beach, Calif. Jacqueline is the daughter of Daniel and Maria Wong of Long Beach. Lewis Martinez Jr. is a 2001 graduate of Tucumcari High School. The newlyweds are both serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Eisenhower station in Norfolk, Va.

Billy's on third
Billy Gage Otero of Tucumcari celebrated his third birthday on Thursday at the Elk's Lodge. He also had a party with train cupcakes at his daycare. Billy likes Spiderman and playing basketball. Billy is the son of Lori and Billy Otero of Tucumcari.  He has two brothers, Joseph and Ayden.  Billy is the grandson of Joseph and Vicky Larendo, and Billy and Lourdes Otero, all of Tucumcari.  Billy's great-grandparents are Blandina and Tom Cordova, Victor and Anne B. Montano, and C.A. Evans, all of Tucumcari.

Sisters play top rate
Jessyka and Mary Trujillo, piano students of Patricia Davidson, entered the 29th Annual Piano Festival in Canyon, Texas at West Texas A & M University on March 1.  Jessyka played "Sonatina in G, I" by Beethoven and received an excellent rating. Mary Played "Night of the Tarantella" by Faber and received a superior rating.
