Business Digest: Real estate office buys ‘room to grow’

Coldwell Banker Colonial Real Estate is expanding its offices at 4201 N. Prince St.

“After purchasing Kenneth Realty, we did not have enough room for all of our agents, so the expansion will consist of offices for our agents as well as room to grow,” said marketing director Holly Glenn in an e-mail.

A 2,700-square-foot addition will include a conference room for seminars and education classes, Glenn said. Completion is scheduled for September.

The real estate firm has 32 agents and a staff of six full-time employees, she said.

Gayla Brumfield, owner of Coldwell Banker Colonial Real Estate, bought Kenneth Realty in 2005.

Pyle completes leadership program

Melrose Mayor and Curry County Assistant Manager Lance Pyle has graduated from the 2007 Leadership New Mexico Local Government Program, according to a news release from the organization.

Pyle is one of 20 statewide leaders to complete the program, a partnership of the New Mexico Association of Counties, the New Mexico Municipal League and Leadership New Mexico that works to develop leadership capacities of government officials.

Patriot Outdoors holding opening

Patriot Outdoors is holding a grand opening Saturday at its 1,000-acre outdoor sporting facility at 1250 Curry Road 16, according to a company news release.

Participants will be able to participate in outdoor activities such as paintball, rock climbing and shooting.

Sporting vendors such as AcuSport, Glock, Smith & Wesson, Crimson-Trace and Springfield Armory will be on hand providing information on their newest product lines.

Doors open at 9 a.m. with give-aways. An extreme team challenge is planned for 11 a.m.
