Coach’s comment: “I thought Roswell was a very good team and they have a couple of really good hitters. We didn’t seem to get our hands on the ball tonight so it was hard to get the ball up to make a good pass that was part of our problem. We hung in there and played hard, but we’re still inexperienced so we’re working to get better. Roswell was a heck of a team.” — Portales coach Ruth Chavez.
