Tucumcari DAR
Tucumcari Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution held the annual Community Recognition meeting on May 8.  
The Community Service Award was presented to the Trigg Hospital Ladies Auxiliary for the endless hours of volunteer work they do for the hospital and our community.  
A recommendation for the National DAR Community Service Award has been sent to DAR Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
An award for the proper display of the American Flag at a business was presented to Arch Hurley Conservancy.  Accepting the award from DAR Flag Chairman Glenda Reid was Manager Franklin McCasland and board member U.V. Henson.
An award for the proper display of the American flag at a residence was presented to Phillip and April Barry. They display their business and residence flag proudly and properly, making sure it is lighted when it flies after dark.
