Two women honored for cancer battles at ‘Dig Pink’ game

The Lady Rattlers’ Mercedes Vega presents Margie Garcia, Tucumcari, with a bracelet before Saturday’s  Lady Rattlers’ volleyball game against the Logan Lady Longhorns.  Another Tucumcari woman, Theresa Martinez, arrived later and received a bracelet.  Both women also received ovations from spectators and athletes alike as they received the bracelets.  The game was christened the “Dig Pink” game to honor the fight against breast cancer.
