The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Curry, Quay and Roosevelt counties until 11 a.m. Tuesday.

 

NWS predicts 2 to 6 inches of snow across eastern New Mexico.

 

Snow is expected to begin falling tonight and through Monday.

 

Brisk northeast winds, 15 to 25 mph, are also expected to develop late tonight, NWS reports.

 

“Strong winds will blow the snow with visibilities dropping to a half mile at times,” according to a NWS news release.

 

Hazardous driving conditions are expected.
