With district football well underway for Quay County teams each match up means more as November approaches.

Tucumcari: 5-3 (1-0)
The Rattlers will travel to rival Texico to battle the 2-3 (0-1) Wolverines.
“We need to go in there explosive,” said Rattlers head coach Daniel Hutchins.
Hutchins said the key to the game will be confidence. He said the team needs to come out hot but not cocky.
“We just need to take care of business,” Hutchins said.
Game time: 7 p.m. at Texico
Logan: 4-3 (1-0)
The Longhorns have a chance to claim second place in district 1 8-man competition with a win over the 2-6 (0-1) Springer Red Devils.
“We need to get off that bus ready to play,” Longhorns head coach Billy Burns said.
Burns said the road trip to Springer will be a factor. He said the team will try to arrive early enough for the team to prepare.
“Just have to play our game,” Burns said.
Game time: 7 p.m. at Springer
House: 0-6 (0-0)
In what will be their last game of the season, the Cowboys take to the road to leave it all out on the field at Roswell against 3-4 (2-2) Valley Christian.
“We are going to get after it,” said Cowboys head coach Bryce Bailey.
Bailey said he is pleased with how the team has played.
“It was a rough season, but they did not give up,” Bailey said. “We are going to play our hearts out and hang it up. We’ll do it again next year.”
Game time: 7 p.m. at Roswell
San Jon: 4-3 (1-2)
The Coyotes are the only team at home this week, facing off against the 1-7 (0-4) Vaughn Eagles.
Coyotes head coach Steve Foust could not be reached for comment.
Game time: 3 p.m. at San Jon.
