Seven rodeo students from Mesalands Comm-unity College are competing in the College National Finals Rodeo in Wyoming.
The students started CNFR competition on Sunday at Casper, Wyo.
Sydni Blanchard, who qualified for the women’s CNFR, in barrel racing was bucked from her horse on Sunday, according to associated press reports. She overcame the fall and won the first round of the barrel racing on Monday with a time of 14.46 seconds, according to the associated press reports.
Other CNFR qualifiers from Mesalands include:
• J2 Bridges, bareback riding and steer wrestling
• Fran Marchand, bareback riding and bull riding
• Clay Elkins, steer wrestler
• Frank Alguire, bull rider
• Cody Lanier, steer wrestle
• Ty Nuffer, saddle bronc rider
