The National Weather Service in albuquerque has issued a high wind warning in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

West to southwest winds of 35 to 45 m.p.h. with gusts up to 60 or 65 m.p.h. are expected.

The strongest winds are expected across Guadalupe, DeBaca and Chaves counties.

Blowing dust is possible, leading to reduced  driving visibility.

The weather service said these wind speeds may be dangerous to travelers, especially along Highway 285.
