Tucumcari police had to close a ramp Thursday at the corner of South First Street and Interstate 40 because of a truck rollover.

Police responded to the accident about 4:20 p.m. One person was transported by Tucumcari emergency responders to the Dan C. Trigg Memorial hospital with minor injuries and released, said Tucumcari Fire Chief Mike Cherry.

Cherry said a truck hauling gravel overturned on the ramp.

The truck was removed from the ramp and traffic to I-40 was restored a few hours later.
