Ten officers were honored at the Quay County Maternal Child and Community Health’s Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon on Tuesday.
The luncheon honored Quay County officers who had the highest numbers in minor in possession citations and DWI arrests between July 1, 2008, and June 30.
Officials said 107 MIP citations were issued in the time period, along with 11 charges of selling, serving or giving alcohol to a minor. There were 87 DWI arrests made in the time period.
Officers honored were:
Pedro Bolin, Logan; Shanna Reed, state parks; Larry Cooksey, Quay County; Patricia Lopez, Tucumcari; Lorenzo Emilio, Tucumcari; Chris Stimpson, state police; Wade Strand, Logan; Patricia Earle, state police; James Gurule, state Parks; and Mark Dahlsten, Quay County.
