The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Monday
l At 7:39 a.m., a female caller on north State Hwy 469 requesting an officer in reference to vandalism of the gas pumps.
l At 9:49 a.m., a female on east Route 66 requested to speak to an officer in reference to fraudulent checks being written.
l At 9:53 a.m., a male  walked into the police department and told officers that roosters were loose at his residence.
l At 4:17 p.m., a female on west Tucumcari Boulevard called in reference to a minor accident in the parking lot.
l At 5:49 p.m., a female on Fourth Street told officers that she had just left District Court with her nephew who had been released to her and about a block from the courthouse he took off. An officer advised the JPO was contacted and advised of the situation.
l At 9:23 p.m., an officer advised that a male subject attempted to open a window on the south side of the church on south Monroe. The subject took off on a bicycle riding west on Route 66.
l At 11:30 p.m., a male reported that there were several kids lighting fires on Ninth Street.

Tuesday
l At 1:54 p.m., an officer advised that there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from an apartment on west Sunset. The officer also advised there was a small child in the same apartment. An arrest was made.
l At 9:51 a.m., a male reported vandalism of a fence that had been graffitied on south Seventh Street.
l At 11:57 a.m., a female reported that she was walking and was being chased by a loose pit bull on south Jackson Street. A citation was issued.

Wednesday
l At  10:21 a.m., a male reported the valve stems that had been removed from his parked vehicle on east Center Street.
l At 11:09 a.m., an anonymous caller reported possible drug activity at Dunn Park. The caller told the officer that a female subject was shooting up heroin in a purple van. The officer advised that no contact was made.
l At 11:44 a.m., a business on east Route 66 reported that a man was sitting down by a pole and had just lain over. The officer advised the subject was OK and was sitting under a tree for a while.
l At 1:10 a.m., an anonymous caller on south Monroe called and advised that they could hear a lot of screaming and crying kids at a neighbors house. The caller told officers that a male subject threw a bat and was going north on Monroe in a tan Grand Am. An arrest was made.
l At 5:10 p.m., a caller on west Tucumcari Boulevard reported an intoxicated male subject harassing customers and asking them for money. Officers made contact with the subject and advised him to leave the premises.
l At 5:33 p.m., a male in Logan requested an officer because someone had broken into his storage, possibly within the last half hour. An official report was taken.
l At 8:24 p.m.,  a female on east Laughlin reported that she was cooking and grease popped in her eye and burned her. She was transported to the hospital.

Thursday
l At  10 a.m., a female reported a theft of pills at her residence on east Center Street.
l At 11:14 a.m., a male subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant at a residence on Sunset Avenue.
l At 11:37 a.m., a male reported two male subjects walking on First Street with a rifle. The officer advised they made contact with the subjects all was OK.
l At 3:10 p.m., a female reported a theft of two 30-packs of beer from a fuel station on east Tucumcari Boulevard.
l At 6:43 p.m., a female reported a fight at a apartment on Sunset Avenue.
l At 7:16 p.m., a male reported a domestic dispute at a residence on south First Street. An officer advised that all was OK.
l At 7:18 p.m., an officer advised that while en route to a fight call, they saw a beer can thrown from the window of a vehicle on Sunset Avenue. One male subject was arrested for minor in possession.
l At 7:27 p.m., male reported a fight at a retail store on west Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer was told that another male subject tried to run the caller off the road and was chasing.
