The Food Bank Of Eastern New Mexico hosted its first annual luncheon and information sharing in Clovis.
At the May 29 event, volunteers that staff the USDA/TEFAP Commodity Sites within the eight northeastern counties that the Food Bank serves were honored.
Twenty-seven attended the luncheon.
Volunteers were individually honored, historical and future commodity information was shared, a tour of the Food Bank was given, recipes were swapped, and drawings for prizes were held.
Attending from Quay County were:
l Delfinio and Mary Garcia, Doyle and Kathleen Frasier, Jimmy and Jan Wallace, Richard Gonzales, and Dee Pacheco of Tucumcari.
l Jack McCarty, Sr., Ray and Billy McCoy, Harold and Judy Westall, and Rafaelita Arguello of Logan also attended.
They have been indispensable in helping the less fortunate in their area, and the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico is pleased to recognize their accomplishments.
