Whether you’re an old hand at fishing or if you feel like testing the waters for the first time, Saturday is the perfect time to get out and make a cast or two at lakes and streams across New Mexico – no license required, according to a press release from the state's Department of Game and Fish.
June 6 is National Fishing Day, and to celebrate, the New Mexico Game Commission is granting all anglers, residents and nonresidents a day of free fishing on public waters statewide. On this special day, no one needs a license or habitat stamp, although all other fishing rules apply, the release said.
