The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.
Saturday
At 4:36 p.m., a male reported an accident with no injuries at the intersection of south Fourth Street and west Barnes Avenue.
At 12:30 p.m., the House Fire Department received several reports of a grass fire between Melrose and House on Highway 89.
Sunday
At 12:10 a.m., a female at a truck stop on Mountain Road requested officers in reference to a semi that was parked in front of a fuel island. The caller said the driver was refusing to move the semi until he finished eating.
At 3:47 p.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to turn in a cell phone that had been found at the circus. The owner of the phone was identified and came to the police department to claim the phone.
Monday
At 1:51 a.m., a male reported a suspicious subject possibly breaking into a vacant house on east Barnes Avenue.
At 7:27 a.m., a female employee of a business on west Tucumcari Boulevard requested an officer in reference to a shoplifting incident.
At 12:52 p.m., a female reported that there were some anonymous subjects lighting tumbleweeds on fire on Seventh Street near Tucumcari Elementary School.
At 1:57 p.m., a male came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report that someone had hit his truck, but it was not known when or where vehcile had been hit.
