The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.
Tuesday
l At 6:40 a.m., an anonymous caller reported a skunk in front of a business in the 1300 block of east Route 66 Boulevard.
l At 7:15 p.m., a female reported an unwanted subject on the south side of a business on south First Street who was smoking from a pipe.
l At 8:06 p.m., a male requested an officer to a residence on west Railroad Avenue to remove two unwanted female subjects. At 8:38 p.m., the male reported that one of the female subjects had returned and thrown a rock through the front window and was yelling that she wanted her beer back.
l At 8:59 p.m., a male reported that rucks parked on east Tucumcari Boulevard had been vandalized.
Wednesday
l At 12:34 a.m., multiple callers reported a possible drunk driver going west in the eastbound lane of Interstate 40. An officer advised that a call was sent to the New Mexico State Police and Tucumcari Police Department units were sent to assist.
l At 4:57 a.m., a male reported a large amount of fuel running down the gutter from a gas station on east Route 66 Boulevard.
l At 4:06 p.m., a female reported a fight at the Tucumcari Middle School in the bus loading area.
l At 5:04 p.m., a male requested an officer to a school building on south Seventh Street in reference to threats being made and a possible weapon being on school campus.
l At 8:22 p.m., a female reported that her husband’s truck had been spray painted while it was parked at a business on north Tenth Street.
l At 10:35 p.m., a male reported that a customer at a truck stop on Mountain Road was attempting to start a fight in the store.
l At 6:39 a.m., a male reported to the Logan Police Department that his windshield had been broken when another truck had passed him on highway 54 between Tucumcari and Logan. An officer advised that it looked like someone threw something that broke the left side of the windshield.
Thursday
l At 8:45a.m., a female reported that the building next door to her office on north Tenth Street had been spray painted with blue spray paint.
l At 4:07 p.m., an unidentified person came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report harassment occurring at the high school.
l At 4:17 p.m., a female reported that someone had broken out a window at a church at the corner of Park Avenue and High Street. She said that the same window had been tagged last week.
l At 8:19 p.m., a male requested an officer to his residence on south Eighth Street in reference to a juvenile at his house who said he had been jumped by a group of other juveniles with a gun.
l At 11:55 p.m., an anonymous caller reported that five subjects were fighting in the parking lot of a business on south Adams Street.
l At 5:22 p.m., a male reported that there were several cars parked behind his residence on State Highway 104 and there were gunshots coming from the area where the cars were parked.
