Jimmy and Nancy English of Tucumcari announce the engagement of their daughter Courtney Summer English to Steven Allen, the son of Randolph and Mary Smith of Bray's Island, S.C.
Courtney English is the granddaughter of Mary George and the late Jack George of Tucumcari, and Dorothy English and the late Jim English of Virginia Beach, Va.
The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of San Jon High School, McMurry University (BBA in 1999) and Wayland Baptist University (MA in 2001 and an MBA in 2002). She is employed as a staffing consultant at Sandia National Laboratories.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Del Norte High School (1984); Baylor University (BBA in 1989); University of New Mexico (MBA in 1997); Webster University (MA in 1997) and Southern Methodist University (JD in 2002). He is an aviation attorney at Nelson Mullins. The couple, who are from Albuquerque, will be married at 5:30 p.m. on March 7 at the Buffalo Thunder Chapel in Santa Fe.
