Check and gift certificate are exchanged at Alco for United Way and the "cutest baby."

Sometimes the cutest kids can do the darnest things. And that's what happened with Alco's Cutest Baby Contest. Funds raised from the project, about $450, were donated to the Quay County United Way.  From left are United Way officials Doyle Frasier, Richard Welch, father of the cutest baby, with 10-month-old Analysia Welch and mom, Natasha Rutherford, Don White, Bill Detter, Alco store manger, Alan Wright, Leslie Osborn and Arlene Frey. Baby Welch received a $25 gift certificate.
