Ministry of Hope will begin opening two days a week next month, said Doyle Frasier, president of the Ministry of Hope Board.
“We're going to have the dumpster back this Friday and begin taking donations,” said Frasier who was recently elected president. Donations of clothes and gently used items can be dropped off in a large bin in front of the Ministry of Hope building.
Donations of food, clothing and money are needed. “The economy is down and so we're down a little, too. The pantry is down,” Frasier said.
Volunteers will be at the center sorting donations and clothes almost daily, Frasier said.
Beginning Feb. 10, the ministry will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, he said.
The ministry at 1824 S. First St. provides food, clothing and financial assistance to those in need.
