Rattler Reunion sets planning meet
The class of 1979 Rattler Reunion planning meeting will be at 1 p.m. on Nov. 16 at the Elks Club.
St. Anne’s to dish out “Pasghetti” dinner Saturday
St. Anne’s annual “Pasghetti” dinner will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Hammond Hall on the corner of Fifth Street and Hancock Avenue.
The menu consists of “Pasghetti” with meat sauce — vegetarian sauce is also available — salad, bread sticks, sherbet with pizzelles, iced tea or coffee. Tickets are $6.50 for adults and $2.50 for children 10 years old and under. Carry-outs are available. The dinner is sponsored by St. Anne’s Music Department. Call 461-3155 for information.
School administrator, board member setting new schedules as a result of election wins
Albert “Scooter” J. Mitchell who won the election for judgeship to the 10th Judicial District Nov. 4 said his swearing in ceremony will be Dec. 15.
Mitchell told the Tucumcari School Board Monday night that he was investigating whether or not he could continue to hold his board membership as well as serve as judge.
Mitchell, whose board term representing Position 5 expires soon, said he would be resigning before the board elections early next year.
Dennis Roch, who is the assistant superintendent for Tucumcari schools, said his administrative contract would be modified as a result of his election win.
Roch won the state representative race in District 67.
Roch said that he would be working with School Superintendent Aaron McKinney to reduce his number of contract days so that he could attend the legislative session in Santa Fe early next year.
