McFarland to turn 95...
R.H. “Shine” McFarland will be celebrating his 95th birthday. Family and friends are invited to the celebration between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Nov. 8 at the Trinity Baptist Church.

Sergio C.J.Quintana was born  Aug. 29 at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. He weighed 6 lbs. and 4 oz. His parents are Jo-el Quintana and Charmaine Joe of Albuquerque. His grandparents are Dolores Chavez Quintana of Tucumcari, Joseph and Cindy Quintana of Albuquerque, Virginia Tso of Albuquerque and Cecil Joe, Jr. of Gallup. Sergo’s  great-grandparents are Raymond and the late Celia Chavez of Tucumcari, the late Bernice Bartrum of Arizona, Joe Tso and Annie Pinto of Gallup and Theresa and Cecil Joe, Sr. of Gallup.

Robin welcomed...
Robin Carly Veranne Valverde was born on Sept. 26 in Clovis.  Her parents are Carlos Valverde and Monica Meier. Robin weighed 6 lbs., 15 oz. and was  18  3/4 in. long. Robin has two brothers, Cameron and James and two sisters, Erica and Alex.  Her grandparents are Charlie Valverde, Judy Martinez, Nick Meier Jr. and the late Jackie Meier. Robin’s great-grandparents are Vera Cordova and the late Pete Valverde Sr., all of Tucumcari. 
 
Casuas serving in Italy...
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Stephanie M. Casaus has deployed to an overseas forward operating base to support the missions of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
Casaus, a  supply journeyman with one year of military service, is regularly assigned to the 31st Logistics Readiness Squadron, Aviano Air Base, Italy.
She is the daughter of Angie and Don  White of  Tucumcari.
Casaus is a 2003 graduate of Tucumcari High School.

Smith and Garvey to wed...
Sid and Beverly Smith of Logan announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter Alexis “Lexie” Elizabeth Smith and Christopher Joseph Garvey, III, both of Leavenworth, Kan. The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. Nov. 22 in Fort Leavenworth, Kan. Alexis Smith is a 2005 graduate of Logan High School.
