The following is a sample of calls received on Oct. 7, 2008 by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

At 12:26 a.m., an anonymous caller reported an erratic driver going eastbound in the westbound lane of I-40 at mile marker 333 near Mountain Road.
At 9:55 a.m., an anonymous caller on south First Street reported that a male subject had pointed what seemed to be a BB-gun at them.
At 10:36 a.m., a male reported an erratic driver traveling north on Highway 209.
At 11:07 a.m., a female on south Third Street requested a special watch  because her tires had been slashed while the vehicle was in the yard.
At 12:07 p.m., a male at a business on Camino Del Coronado reported that a vehicle had been stolen.
At 5:07 a.m., an employee at a business on west Tucumcari Boulevard requested an officer to do a walk-through for potential shoplifters.
At 5:28 p.m., a male on south First Street reported a hit and run accident.
At 6:00 p.m., a male on east Heman Street reported an attempted burglary.
