Oasis, EPCAA, Tucumcari Home Health, Hartley House, Helping Hands Hospice, Arts and Humanities, and Saint Vincent de Paul.
Proceeds are given to Quay County nonprofit agencies that request funds and meet the United Way’s requirements.
In addition to this year’s auction, ALCO stores participate nationwide with a Cute Baby Contest. Local ALCO store manager,
Bill Detter announced that the next contest will be in January 2009. All proceeds from the contest benefit the United Way of Quay County. Last year Tucumcari’s ALCO raised the most money, more than $800, in the district in the contest. Detter said he hopes to raise over $1,000 in the upcoming contest for United Way of Quay County.
