The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Friday
l At 8:12 a.m., a female reported possible animal abuse at a neighbor's house on south Second Street. Animal Control picked up one dog, the other was taken to the vet.
l At 8:50 a.m., a woman reported a male subject sleeping in front of the manager's office at a business on east Tucumcari Boulevard.  The male subject was taken to Quay County Detention Center for detox.
l At 2:10 p.m., a female on east Smith Street reported that she walked outside and her vehicle was gone. Central Dispatch received a second call from the repo company advising that the car had been repossessed.
l At 2:12 p.m., a female called to report an accident on south Second Street. Police advised that there were no injuries.
l At 4:54 p.m., a male reported a burglary on north First Street and that numerous items were taken.
l At 8:10 p.m., a male requested a special watch at his daughter's house on south Second Street. His daughter was out of town and someone had called and told him there were flash lights in the house. Police advised that when they arrived, a door was open and someone was possibly inside.

Saturday
l At 12:44 a.m., a male on east Center Street called to report that a male subject was harassing another male because he thought the other male got him fired.
l At 9:09 a.m., a male reported that his neighbors down the street on south Seventh Street were in their front yard hitting and yelling at each other. The caller advised that there was one male and one female.
l At 10:48 a.m., a five-year-old male in Logan called to report that his nine-year-old sister was mean. The dispatcher asked to speak to an adult and was given to a male child claiming to be 15 years old who sounded like the five-year-old male. The police were dispatched for a welfare check on the address to make sure that there was proper adult supervision.
l At 1:50 p.m., a male walked into the police station to file a report on identity theft.
l At 1:56 p.m., an anonymous caller on south Jackson Street complained that the bass on his neighbor's stereo was so loud that it was shaking his house.

Sunday 
l At 1:10 a.m., a male subject and state police reported that there were cattle between mile marker 103 and mile marker 104 on Highway 104.  The livestock inspector advised he would check it out in the morning.
l At 2:52 a.m., a female called and advised of a possible loud party in the area of Barnes Avenue and south First Street.

Monday
l At 5:01 a.m., a female reported that it looked like someone was burning something in the alley between Main Street and Center Street.
l At 8:07 a.m., a female reported a fight in front of the Middle School on Fourth Street.
l At 8:32 a.m., a male request Animal Control to pick up a dog on south Lake Street. Animal Control located the owner.
l At 11:58 a.m., a male reported that his wallet was stolen on Sept. 13 at the apartments on Sunset Avenue.
l At 4:47 p.m., the Quay County Sheriff's office received a call that a goat was running between the lanes on I-40 about 10 miles west of San Jon. The State Police were contacted and they advised they would handle the call.
