Vows exchanged...
Rochelle Elizabeth Hodge  and  Dennis James Roch , both of  of Tucumcari,  exchanged wedding vows June 8, 2008  at Loveland Castle in Loveland, Ohio.  Dereck Owen of Tucumcari presided at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Andrea Hodge of Tucumcari,  the granddaughter of George and  Bobbie Hoover of Oberlin, Ohio,  Harold and  Jean Morse of Westminster, Calif. and Jerry and Betty Hodge of Saltville, Va.
The groom is the son of Jim Roch of Surprise, Ariz. and Marna Roch of San Antonio, Texas, and the grandson of nald and Peg Kline of Clovis.
Rebekah Carnes, sister of the bride was the matron of honor and Jim Roch, father of the groom, was the best man. Ushers were Matthew Hodge, brother of bride, and James Carnes, brother in law of the bride.
The couple will reside in Tucumcari where they are each employed by the Tucumcari Public Schools.

First birthday...
For his first birthday, Jesse M.D. Lewis of Tucumcari celebrated on July 19 with a Mickey Mouse birthday part  at Northside Park, where he was joined by friends and family, including his brother from California. Jesse's birth date is July 17. He is the son of Jennifer and Richard Lewis of Tucumcari, and his grandparents are Cheryl Marvin  of California and Joe and Julia Jasper of Tucumcari.

Just born...
Travis and Racquel Barnes of Albuquerque are proud to announce the birth of their son, Carson Wade Barnes, born June 29, 2008. He weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. and was 22 inches long. His grandparents are Mike and Jody Barnes of Tucumcari, Poligia Baca of Anton Chico and the late Wayne Robinson of Questa, and his great-grandparents are Jim and Nettie Watson of Junction, Texas, Donald and Leah Barnes of Fort Sumner and Flora Baca of Anton Chico.

Lone Star linemen...
Dusty Knapp and Chris Padilla participated in the 18th annual Lone Star Lineman's rodeo  in Lubbock on July 19. Each participated in pole top rescue, egg climb, insulator and fuse change-out events. This earned them 20th and 29th place standings. Both men are employed by Xcel Energy as transmission apprentice linemen and reside in Tucumcari. Dusty Knapp is the son of Ronnie Knapp, who is a serviceman for Xcel, and Chris Padilla is the son of Joe"Fuzzy" Padilla, who is a journeyman lineman for Xcel.
