Truitt Gene Everett was born April 3, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas. His parents are Carl and Rhonda Everett; and his brother is Julian, 4.
His grandparents are Floyd and Nancy Ayler of Tucumcari, and Carlene Everett and his great-grandmother is Janell McCoy of San Jon.

First birthday...
Avery McKinney of Tucumcari celebrated his first birthday with a party at his Grandma Donna McKey's home. His parents are Davonna McKey and Andrew McKinney of Tucumcari. His grandparents are Clark McKinney of Tucumcari and Terri Miles of Oklahoma and Donna McKee of Tucumcari.  Avery has one brother, Marcus who is 4 years old.  Avery was born in Clovis.

THS grad honored...
Kohl’s Department Stores  honored nearly 2,000 kids nationwide, including Caitlyn Romero, from Tucumcari,  for the thousands of good deeds they performed in their communities through volunteerism. Through the eighth annual Kohl’s Kids Who Care® Scholarship Program, eight youths from New Mexico will receive $50 gift cards and recognition certificates from Kohl’s. The  winners could go on to receive a $1,000 regional scholarship that Kohl’s will award in July.
