Earl Flint, 98, of San Jon was recognized Friday at the 75th anniversary celebration of the New Deal programs at Conchas Dam. The dam was the largest New Deal project in the state and Flint worked for the U.S. Engineers as a heavy equipment instructor from 1934 to 1939 when the dam was completed. Flint was the only former New Deal worker who attended the celebration.
