By late Friday, early and absentee voters totaled 415, said Quay County Clerk Ellen White.

Early voting will continue through today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Quay County Courthouse.

Only registered Democrats and Republicans are eligible to vote in the primary on Monday.

Voters who have declined to state a party or who are registered as “other” are not eligible to vote, White said.

In all, 5,309 are registered to vote. Of those, 3,490 are registered as Democrats and 1,819 are registered as Republicans, according to voting records.
