Absentee/Early Voting is  taking place at the Quay County Clerk’s Office for the Primary Election.

As of Friday, there had been almost 50 early and absentee voters, said an officer of the Clerk’s Office.

 The Clerk’s Office is open from 8  a.m. to  5 p.m., including the lunch hour, Monday through Friday. 

Thursday will be the last day to send out an Absentee Ballot in the mail, so applications must be received before 5 p.m. on that day.

The final day for Early Voting will be Saturday, May 31.  The office will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on that day.

In addition, the Quay  County Clerk will hold a public school of instruction for all precinct boards on Wednesday. Sessions will begin at  9 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Quay County Exhibit Center.

Precinct Board Members may attend either session or both.

The school of instruction is open to the public.
