‘Click It or Ticket’ to crack down on drivers who don’t wear seat belts
The New Mexico Department of Transportation announced this week it has began its 2008 “Click It or Ticket” seat belt campaign, according to a press release. The announcement also comes with a warning to motorists that law enforcement agencies statewide will be out in increased numbers to crack down on drivers and passengers who are not in compliance with the state’s mandatory seat belt law, the release said.
Particular attention will be paid to those not wearing seat belts during nighttime hours.
