The U.S. Corps of Engineers have had sightings of a Black Bear cub in the area of its headquarters at Conchas Dam.

The last sighting of the cub, which is estimated to be about 2 and half feet tall, was Monday, said Darin Franzoni of the U.S. Corps of Engineers.

The New Mexico Game & Fish has tried to trap the cub, but was not been successful, Franzoni  said.

The cub was not seen on Tuesday.
