The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.  According to reports:

Tuesday
l   At 9:47 a.m., a female came into the Police Department to turn herself in because she had a warrant out for her arrest.
l   At 11:37 a.m., a female called to report a child,  running north in the alley between Jackson and Monroe, who was screaming and being chased by a dog.
l   At 3:54 p.m., several callers reported a brush fire by the railroad tracks on Highway 54 near Logan.
l   At 8:10 a.m., a Union Pacific Officer reported a juvenile walking along the railroad tracks and almost getting hit by a passing train.

Wednesday
l   At 12:09 p.m., a female reported leaving a diaper bag at a local park. It contained several articles of clothing, her WIC checks and a wallet.
l   At 4:30 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a large group of people in front of an apartment complex on South Eighth Street possibly smoking pot.
Thursday
l   At 4:49 a.m., a male called in reference to a breaking and entering at his home on South 7th Street. He reported that an X-Box 360 and a portable Playstation were stolen
l   At 8:29 p.m., Rural Fire Department 1 called to see if there were any reports of brush fires on I-40 near Montoya.  State Police confirmed that there was a fire and Rural 1 was dispatched.
l   At 9:44 p.m., a female called Logan Fire Department to report a grass fire by the Rogers area on Loop 540 in Logan.
