Four Tucumcari residents were arrested Thursday for possession of a controlled substance — 18.2 grams of methamphetamine, which has a street value of about $1,100, according to court documents and State Police Lt. Cleo Baker.
The possession of a controlled substance is a fourth-degree felony.
The four, arrested at an apartment at W. Route 66 and Camino del Coronado, were also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor charge, according to court documents.
Baker said, the following were arrested:
• Evangeline Baca , 42
• Jennifer Hebel, 32
• Brandi Ortiz, 24, and
• Steven Saul, 39, who was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
The four were charged and taken to the Quay County Detention Center on Thursday.
Ortiz was released Friday on an appearance bond. The other three were in QCDC as of Friday.
A Magistrate Court official said their arraignment was expected to take place on Monday.
