Hospital holding farewell open house
A farewell open house will be held for Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital adminsratior Matt Posinski from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday in the lobby of the hospital. The community is invited to attend. 

Republicans holding ‘Taxpayers Brawl’
The Republican Party of Quay County is having a “Taxpayers Brawl” at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Del Norte Center, 423 N. 4th St. The fundraiser will feature “your” donations, beans, cornbread, and coleslaw. Also, an auction will follow for pies, cakes and other goodies.
Delegates from all over the state  have been invited to attend, said Bill Menges, Quay County Republican Party chairman.

4-H ambassador meets with Domenici

The 2008 National 4-H Conference, which concluded Thursday, was themed “Green Aid: Acquire, Inform, Deliver” and focused on how 4-H clubs could advance environmental awareness.
