A free roping clinic with two-time national qualifier John Paul Lucero of Villanueva will be held Friday and Saturday in Tucumcari. The clinic is being sponsored by the Mesalands Community College Rodeo Team. "This clinic is free to all the students of Mesalands and to the public," said rodeo coach C.J. Aragon. The clinic is a good way to raise the interest of potential students and convince them to attend Mesalands, Aragon said. The clinic will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Quay County Fairgrounds.
