Published: Wednesday, November 14th, 2007
This fishing report has been generated from the best information available from officers and anglers. Conditions encountered after the report is compiled may differ, however, as stream, lake and weather conditions alter fish and angler activities. Conchas Fishing was fair using tubes, 4-inch worms, senkos and crank baits for smallmouth bass. Most bass caught were in less than 10 feet of water. A few walleye were taken using jig and minnow combinations and spoons. No reports on other species. Ute Lake Fishing for walleye was very good again this past week. Anglers did well using jigging spoons in 40-to-50 feet of water. Anglers fishing for walleye reported catching several white bass in the 1.5-to-2 pound range. Fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass was fair-to-good for anglers using crank baits and finesse baits such as small worms in shallow water. We had no reports on other species. This report was complied by the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish.
