Birthday duo... Skyler Jobe’s fifth birthday was Sept. 23 and Tyler Jobe’s seventh birthday is Oct. 17. Their parents are Barbara and Elmer Jobe, Jr. of Logan. Their grandparents are Elmer and Carol Jobe of Tucumcari and George and Anna Gail Grassie of Capitan and Ronnie and Dianna Kimbell of Aztec. And their great-grandparents are Clara Jobe of Tucumcari and Sam and Jimmie Jo Morrow of Logan and Wilma Kimbell of Lovington. Pretty in pink... Neela Marie Baeza arrived Sept. 25, 2007. She weighed 8 pounds, 10.6 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. She’s the daughter of Kimberly Roybal and Quintin Baeza, Jr., both of Portales. Neela’s grandparents are Elizabeth Lopez of Portales, Larry and Lucinda Roybal of Tucumcari and Tracy Crespin of Clovis. Her great-grandparents are Hermila Lopez of Portales, Juan and Julia Hernandez of Tucumcari and Jean and Frank Crespin of Culver City, Calif. Art classes Oct. 24.. Drawing for beginners and experienced artists will be offered by the Eastern New Mexico Art Space. There will be five two-hour sessions, on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct.24 and 31 and Nov. 7, 14 and 21 at 201 S. Second St. Cost is $35, or $25 for ENMAS members. Materials will be provided. Art instructor Kathy Farmer has taught drawing and watercolor for eight years at Western Nevada Community College. Farmer said she believes that there is an artist in all of us and learning art should be fun. Art Space is a group effort of local artists and supporters.
