The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports: Friday l At 3:14 p.m., an officer served a warrant at a residence on South Second Street. One male subject was arrested on four outstanding warrants and taken to the Quay County Detention Center. l At 5 p.m., a female reported a shoplifter at a fuel station on South Mountain Road. A male subject was arrested for shoplifting. l At 8:17 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South Seventh Street. The male driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Saturday l At 12:08 p.m., an alarm was reported at a high school on South Seventh Street. An officer checked the building and advised that the alarm was set off by the maintenance staff working on the air conditioning unit. l At 6:59 p.m., a male reported vandalism at the recreation center on East Laughlin Street. An officer advised that the door handle of the building had been broken. Sunday l At 3:28 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on South Second Street. An officer advised it was a verbal disagreement only and the problem had been resolved. l At 10:04 p.m., a female reported a suspicious vehicle parked on East Nobles Street. An officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle and advised that all was OK. They were waiting on their brother. Monday l At 12:18 a.m., a male reported criminal damage at a hotel on West Route 66. An officer advised that people staying in a room at the hotel had tried to contact the front desk clerk to tell them they could not get back into their room. When they could not locate the clerk they forced entry into the room. The parties will settle the cost of the damages between themselves. l At 2:32 a.m., a female reported a suspicious male subject at a fuel station on South First Street. An officer made contact with the male subject and advised him to leave the area. l At 10:39 a.m., a female reported vandalism at a residence on South Second Street. An officer advised that a window on the residence had been broken. l At 2:50 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a motel on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised that it was a verbal agreement and the problem had been resolved. l At 5:55 p.m., a male reported a fight on South Monroe Street. An officer advised that the parties involved in the fight refused to press charges or make a statement.
