09-19-07: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:
Friday
l At 3:44 p.m., a female reported vandalism at a residence on South Jackson Street. An officer advised that the caller's garage had graffiti on it.
l At 9:17 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South Adams Street. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
Saturday
l At 12:55 a.m., an officer served a warrant at an apartment on South Eighth Street. A female subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant.
l At 1:23 a.m., an officer reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the roadway on South Seventh Street. The officer made contact with the male driver and arrested him for driving while intoxicated.
l At 4:06 a.m., an alarm was reported at a business on West Route 66. The officer advised that the building was secure and all was OK.
l At 8:25 p.m., a female reported vandalism on South Second Street. An officer advised that two tires had been slashed on a vehicle and two windows had been spray painted.
l At 8:48 p.m., a female reported vandalism on South Third Street. An officer advised that a second vehicle had its windows spray painted.
l At 9:15 p.m., a female reported vandalism at a business on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised that the back entrance to the business had been spray painted.
l At 9:15 p.m., an officer reported a suspicious male subject on foot on South Sixth Street. A male juvenile was issued a citation for possession of marijuana.
Sunday
l At 1:05 a.m., an officer reported a fight at a fuel station on East Route 66. The officer issued two citations to male subjects for disorderly conduct and one citation to a male subject for possession of marijuana.
l At 11:33 p.m., an officer made a traffic stop on South Eighth Street. A male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for an outstanding Municipal Court warrant.
Monday
l At 1:33 a.m., an officer reported a suspicious subject on South First Street. The male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for outstanding warrants from the Municipal and Magistrate courts.
