This fishing report has been generated from the best information available from officers and anglers. Conditions encountered after the report is compiled may differ, however, as stream, lake and weather conditions alter fish and angler activities. Conchas Fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass was fair this past week for anglers using top water lures, tubes and senkos. Fishing for white bass was fair for anglers using jigging spoons and trolling crank baits. Fishing was slow-to-fair for anglers using bottom bouncer/night crawler rigs and jig and minnow combinations for walleye. We had not reports on other species. Ute Lake White bass fishing was fair this past week for anglers using jigging spoons and deep trolling rigs at 20-to-30 feet. A few good size whites were taken by anglers using top water lures when the fish were busting shad. Fishing was fair-to-good using buzz baits, Ricos and drop shot rigs for smallmouth and largemouth bass. Fishing was fair trolling assorted crank baits and 22-to-25 feet for walleye. We had no reports on other species. There were no catches of the week at Conchas or Ute Lake. If you have a catch of the week story, send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
