The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports: Monday l At 12:10 a.m., an alarm was reported at a lounge on West Route 66. An officer said the building was secure and the alarm was reset by the manager. l At 11:50 a.m., a female reported a burglary on East Smith Street. An officer was told that a TV and DVD player had been stolen from the residence. An investigation is under way. l At 1:20 p.m., a male reported a plane with engine trouble requesting an emergency landing at the airport. The fire department and EMS were dispatched to the airport on standby. An officer advised that all was OK; the plane landed safely. l At 1:58 p.m., a officer was requested at the probation office on East Main to serve a warrant. One subject was arrested for violation of probation. l At 10:49 p.m., a female reported vandalism at a business on East Main Street. An officer advised that a window was broken on the building. Tuesday l At 4:11 a.m., a male reported a suspicious vehicle in front of a retail store on East Route 66. An officer advised all was OK. The vehicle had a flat tire and had been left by the owner until morning. l At 9:49 a.m., a female requested an officer at the probation office on East Main Street. One male subject was arrested for violation of probation. l At 2:20 p.m., a female reported a dispute at the pool on South Fifth Street. Two male subjects were arguing and one of the subjects had left prior to the officer's arrival, the report said. l At 10:54 p.m., a male subject reported a snake bite at the hospital emergency room. An officer was told that a male subject had found a snake in front of a motel on West Tucumcari Boulevard. The male subject picked up the snake and was bitten on the hand. The officer advised that the snake was identified as a king snake and was non venomous. Wednesday l At 2:08 p.m., a female reported an unwanted subject at a motel on South First Street. An officer advised that one male subject was arrested for three outstanding Magistrate Court warrants. l At 8:22 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on East Rankin Street. One female was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for the charge of battery on a household member. Thursday l At 7:15 a.m., a female reported vandalism at a residence on South Eighth Street. The front tire of a vehicle had been slashed, the report said.
