I hope that RAD (Rural Area Development water users coop) officials who read this will take it as constructive criticism. Problems with water lines (as reported in the June 23 issue of the Quay County Sun) usually develop due to inadequate engineering. Gremlins result in not having sufficient funds to properly install water lines. The RAD system has very high to very low water pressure, distribution lines of differing size and a lack of water storage within the system. Until these problems are dealt with the gremlins will not go away. Federal grant money and engineering expertise may be the only solution in correcting many years of accumulated problems.
