Ceremonies at Tucumcari Memorial Cemetery.
In memory of the men and women of the U.S. Armed Services who have gone before us and will come after us, the members of Tucumcari's Veterans of Foreign Wars conducted the annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Tucumcari Memorial Park.
The color of the flowers and those in “old glory” told the story as they were gently laid on top of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the cemetery. A white carnation for purity, a blue carnation for perseverance and justice and a red one, for bravery and the blood that has been spilled on many battlefields.
