Area seniors are getting ready for the Quay County Senior Olympics Games. Practice for pool and shuffleboard are at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Tucumcari Senior Citizens Center. Participants in these games can qualify to compete in the State Senior Olympics in Las Cruces. The Quay County games will be May 11 and 12. All are invited to attend. Schedule May 11 Senior Center 8 a.m. Pool 2 p.m. Shuffleboard 7 p.m. Talent Show May 12 High School track 8 a.m. Field Events: javelin, shot put, softball throw and walking and running events.
