Tis the season of proms and one of the rites of passage for high school seniors. Tucumcari Highs School celebrated Friday night and tonight San Jon will have its prom. In Tucumcari, they dined out, arrived in stretched Hummers or dad's pickup. At the Tucumcari gym, parents, relatives and friends filled one side of the gym’s bleachers flashing cameras to capture the moment. A high point was the naming of THS’s prom king and queen, Janice Apodaca and Brian Lopez, and prince and princess, Andres Apodaca and Misty McKinney.
