Services: 7 p.m., today a rosary will recited at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari. At 10 a.m. on Thursday a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anne's Church. Ramon Aragon, 58, died Feb. 26, 2007 at his residence in Tucumcari following an illness. Mr. Aragon was born June 20, 1948 in Tucumcari to Jose P. and Petrita Mora Aragon. He was reared and attended schools in Tucumcari. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Margaret Hernandez on Aug. 5, 1968 in El Paso, Texas. He loved riding motorcycles, horses, hunting, fishing, working with leather, playing poker and loved his family dearly. He was a member of the VFW and DAV. Mr. Aragon is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Erika M. Aragon, and his parents; Jose P. Aragon and Petrita Apodaca. Survivors include his wife, Margaret, of Tucumcari; his children, Amy (Steve) Gutierrez, Isabel (Richard) Jones, Ramon (Lila) Aragon, Jr., all of Tucumcari, Jose (Frances) Aragon of Albuquerqe; his brothers, Florencio (Carmen) Aragon of Tucumcari, Rudolpho (Bertha) Aragon of Las Cruces, and Mike (Theo) Aragon of Albuquerque; sisters, Lucy Salas of Tucumcari, Celina (Frank) Rivera of Belen, and Celsa Chavez and Mary Jane (Casey) Alarid, both of Amarillo, Texas. Also surviving are his brother in law, Ernest (Marilu) Hernandez Las Cruces, sister in law, Santana Aragon of Tucumcari, 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. Arrangements are by Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
