Services: 1 p.m., Monday at Dunn Memorial Chapel. Evelyn Katherine McKay Bollinger, 78, died Jan. 31, 2007 in St. Cloud, Fla. She was born March 22, 1928 in Clayton. She graduated from the Clayton High School in 1945. She attended Eastern New Mexico College for one year and began her teaching career in the fall of 1946 at Sedan. She taught school at Hayden and in Tucumcari at the St. Anne’s Catholic School for several years. She was a active member of the Baptist Church wherever she lived. She was director of the Clayton Senior Citizens Center during the 1980s and 1990s. Her other activities included 4-H, the Elk's Lodge and various womens' clubs and organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bollinger; a son, Tommy Bollinger; a brother, Omer McKay and by her parents, James and Lucky McKay. Surviving Mrs. Bollinger are her son, Jerry Bollinger of St. Cloud, Fla.; two brothers, Edward McKay of Keller, Texas, and Franklin McCay of Las Cruces; a friend, Bilie Fay Braithwaite of Tucumcari and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
